About Twelve Stones

twelve stones counseling therapy talk counselor

Our passion is to serve Coloradans through counseling relationships that put you in charge and create real, lasting change. We believe joining with you as a client is helpful, powerful, and gives a foundation for restoration and healing. Counseling is a game-changer and we are excited to go on this journey with you. Because of this, we aim to create an environment where mental health concerns are not stigmatizing. Really, they’re understandable, normal, and filled with options and hope! Since our goal is to serve, we want to be there for you during the hard times so that you can get back to the good times.

Everyone is wired differently. Therefore, you may like or dislike a type of counseling technique or tool, and we can find the right style for you. There are so many ways that we can work with you! If you have had a bad experience with counseling in the past, it’s likely the counselor didn’t understand how you work. That’s why we make sure we understand you and how you function, rather than making you fit to us. Tailoring our approach allows us to have a good connection with you and get you back on track.

Location

Twelve Stones Counseling is a counseling office on the Denver/Aurora border close to I-225 and Iliff. We offer online teletherapy as well. Our location is easily accessible from the Denver, Aurora, Denver Tech Center, Parker, Greenwood Village, and Centennial areas.

  • Individual private-pay (out of pocket) rate: $120 per 60 minute session
  • Sliding scale available based on need
  • Insurance accepted: Aetna, Cigna, Optum, UMR
  • Can also provide superbills (like a receipt to get reimbursed by your insurance)
  • We can take cash, check, Visa, Discover, American Express, or MasterCard

Crisis Info

Twelve Stones is not an emergency crisis center. Although we respond to your inquiries as quickly as possible, we are not able to respond 24/7 and we are not equipped as an emergency crisis center. If you are experiencing an emergency, you need to call 911 or contact the Aurora Mental Health Center at (303) 617-2300, the Mental Health Center of Denver at (844) 493-8255, or the Colorado Crisis Services at 1-844-493-8255 (or text “TALK” to 38255; you can also chat online with them here).

Cancellation Policy

We ask that you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours ahead of time. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be subject to the session fee. If you have had three cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment we will discuss if continuing counseling is appropriate. We do this because it can indicate that counseling is not helpful, that the client does not want counseling, or other concerns.
