Since our goal is to serve, we want to be there for you during the hard times so that you can get back to the good times.
Everyone is wired differently. Therefore, you may like or dislike a type of counseling technique or tool, and we can find the right style for you. There are so many ways that we can work with you! If you have had a bad experience with counseling in the past, it’s likely the counselor didn’t understand how you work. That’s why we make sure we understand you and how you function, rather than making you fit to us. Tailoring our approach allows us to have a good connection with you and get you back on track.
Location
Twelve Stones Counseling is a virtual counseling office that meets you where you are at. As long as you’re in Colorado and have a place where you can freely talk, we can meet with you anywhere. Enjoy the convenience and flexibility of counseling at your home, office, in your car, on your porch, or anywhere you want us to meet with you!
We use a HIPAA-compliant video calling system to connect with you to ensure your confidentiality. It’s really easy to use and feels similar to tech that you’re likely already encountering daily.
Insurance and Fees
Twelve Stones Counseling can accept Aetna, Optum, Cigna, and UMR insurance. We are unfortunately not a Medicaid facility. We can run an insurance check for you to let you know if you’re in network and what you can expect to pay. In certain circumstances our counselors may be able to offer a sliding-scale fee option. For inquiries on pricing, please contact us. See below for details:
- Individual private-pay (out of pocket) rate: $120 per 60 minute session
- Sliding scale available based on need
- Insurance accepted: Aetna, Cigna, Optum, UMR (get the detailed list here)
- Can also provide superbills (like a receipt to get reimbursed by your insurance)
- We can take cash, check, Visa, Discover, American Express, or MasterCard; if a third party (e.g. your parent, church, friend) wishes to pay for counseling services, we can set that up with your consent.
Crisis Info
Twelve Stones is not an emergency crisis center. Although we respond to your inquiries as quickly as possible, we are not able to respond 24/7 and we are not equipped as an emergency crisis center. If you are experiencing an emergency, you need to do one or more of the following depending on severity:
- Call 911 or the non-emergency line for your county
- Contact 988 (Colorado’s crisis line; you can also text 988 or chat live with them here)
- Go to a walk-in mental health clinic
- Go to an emergency room
- Contact your emergency contact/support network
Cancellation Policy
Please cancel/reschedule your appointment no later than 24 hours in advance. If you cancel or reschedule within the 24 hours or do not show up within the first 15 minutes of your appointment, we will charge you a no-show/late-cancel fee.
