About Our Counselors

Taylor Burdick, MA, LPC

I opened Twelve Stones Counseling because I want to help people change, be restored, and then positively impact others around them. It is an extreme honor to be a counselor and to have a relationship with each person. I’m passionate about counseling because it can be a massive game-changer. There is no such thing as “too far gone,” “damaged goods,” or “incapable.” Counseling gives so much hope in dark places in our lives, and it empowers us to get back on track.

I am a licensed LPC in the state of Colorado. I graduated from a CACREP-accredited program (meaning it’s the nationwide “gold standard” of counselor education) with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. In addition, I have a bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in intercultural ministry. I’m also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is highly effective for crisis and trauma situations.

I grew up in the Denver area and I love Colorado. I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and dog, and I am a board game nerd. My love language is coffee, and in my free time I’m usually crafting. I’m pretty straightforward and honest, and a little awkward at times in a good way. I like to get to know people really well and find ways to connect. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to have a free phone consultation. You can also check out my profile on Psychology Today here. I would love to get to know you!

Caris Malone, MA, LPCC

I became a counselor because of my belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a life in which they belong and can find joy. Oftentimes in the hustle and bustle of life, it is easy to put off our own needs taking care of others around us first. We forget that the best way to live in connection with others
is by taking care of our own needs first. Counseling is a great way to take a step back from the hustle of everyday life and untangle those webs of unwanted patterns, emotions and thoughts that have held us
back, all in a judgement free and safe environment.

I believe that counseling is a journey between counselor and client. It is the relationship that counts so I am here to work together with you to figure out healthy living in practical and time efficient solutions
that are tailored specifically for you. The best way to find healing is by taking one step at a time, I would be honored to make that journey with you!

I am a licensed LPCC in the State of Colorado. I graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from a CACREP-accredited program (the nationwide “gold standard” of counselor education). I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from an accredited university and an associate
in baking and pastry arts from a different lifetime! I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an advanced trauma therapy). Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to have a free phone consultation.
